S-so uh! Something happened.

[There's some unpleasant rattling around noises and weird close-ups as he sets the phone down, rambling as he does so] And I need everyone to see so I'm sure it's not just a hallucination or something? I just had a memory while I was dozing off during my commute home and I just thought I'd try it you know, because it'd be cool, but then-

[Elliott retreats to a distance that he thinks is good for a video and holds up a hand, thumb and middle finger pressed together. He breathes, then follows the motion through with a snap. A flame bursts to life on the tip of his forefinger, hovering like a fireball in miniature. It follows the motion of his hand as it shakes.

Anyone not focused on the flame might see that he looks dangerously close to tears]

I uh- I think.. I think magic might actually be real? Maybe? If this is actually happening?

[Well, that was worth finding out. Weird, though, since Aziraphale's supposed magic had him relying on a circle and glyph of some kind. And words. So maybe not all magic is equal or some magic users are more capable than others.]

Have you lit anything on fire yet to see if the flame will transfer and sustain?

[He quickly adds, not wanting Elliott to get carried away:] A candle, perhaps?

I lit a paper towel on fire in the sink. It definitely did a thing. Went up a lot faster than I expected-- the water was on though, so nothing terrible happened.

[Regarding the paper towel going up faster than expected. He frowns a little, pinching his mouth into a thin line, but he makes a note on a piece of paper.]

I shouldn't be encouraging this, and please do NOT tell your mother, but I'm very curious, actually, if the fire can be thrown. Just-- Not in your house. Some other time, perhaps. Such as lighting a bonfire at the beach under supervision.

What did you do with the power in your memory?

[Yeah, he could see how that would be interesting to know. But definitely, yeah, not in the house. He snaps the flame away again]

I didn't, actually. It was someone else's power in the vision and I just.. tried it. I guess we had similar magic abilities?

[He notes how easily that flame is put away easy come, easy go... and that there's no visible scorches on Elliott's hand.]

Uh, another question, if you don't mind, Elliott. Do you feel the heat from the flame or any other kind of energy off of it? Or is it simply something that manifests in your hand without any tactile sensation? I noticed it didn't seem to burn you.

Yeah, it's warm- like.. if you hover your hand over a burner. It probably would burn me if I put my face to it or something, but I don't think I'm going to try that.

Yes, of course. I have magic in some of my memories, too. So I figure any information is good to have. [Technically not a lie]

It involves a lot of circles and words I don't know. I can't say I've actually tried it yet. Seems a bit risky as I don't actually know what it does.

Oh, my dear, Crowley thinks we're all a bit loony. Don't take it to heart. His quest for answers is the same as yours, he's just approaching it a bit more cynically. And we need that. We need all kinds of viewpoints right now.

He could be less of a jerk about it..
