Video
[Martin is in his scrubs, a thick cardigan over them]
I'll keep this brief in case anyone needs to use the network for emergencies. But if any of you need medical attention, please let me know. I can help. If you can, use text instead of video to keep the lines free.
[he holds up his medical field bag as evidence of his efficacy]
If you aren't out in the middle of this? Stay. Clear. I'm not sure where the non-Different have got to, but we've got to keep as many of us unharmed as possible.

[ York sends a ping of his coordinates then. ]
text -> action
[true to word, he gets there as fast as he can with no usual transport system ... though a speeder turns out to not be too much different from a motorbike, and he sputters up to the coordinates and parks lopsidedly, dismounting to undo his bag from the back]
Alright. Let's have a look at it, then.

When Martin enters the alley, York offers him his patented charming grin. Pretending nothing's wrong is always better than admitting it is. ]
Hey there, doc. Sorry to inconvenience you with this little thing.

Though I can be a pair of hands, or cover, as you may need.

[the new face is a surprise, but a pleasant one, as he wasn't expecting help. Martin immediately takes a knee next to York and opens the kit, going for peroxide first and foremost.]
I don't need to tell you this is going to sting, I'm sure. But fair warning.
[he doesn't have time for more bedside manner than that, and pours it on, setting off a sea of tiny hissing white bubbles over the scrape]

[ He hadn't had this kind of repair on a cut in a long time. He hadn't skinned his knee in a long time, though. ]
You got here pretty fast.

Seems clear for now, but we might want to find somewhere to hole up if this is going to take a while. [She doubts it, honestly, but best to be open about that sort of thing. Give plenty of warning, if necessary!]

Mm...yeah, I do. It's a little sting-y right now, but it should be better in a minute, I think.
too damn late sorry!
Have we a location in mind? Damned if I didn't wish I had acquired one of those flying platforms. It wouldn't carry the three of us, of course, but we could run and York could fly, then...
no worries!
Re: no worries!
"A flying motorcycle?"
He's actually not hurt that bad, but that sounds awesome.
"Get it over to me and I can climb on, I'll be fine."

"This thing is awesome."
He swings the injured leg over the cycle and mounts it easily.
"Where do we want to head next, then? Back to Manhattan?"

But yeah, just hanging around here at the moment if anyone needs help.

You can heal, too. That's good to know. Glad it's more than just me who can patch some of these folks up when they get themselves into trouble. I really think Anakin's going to lose another limb one of these days. Or York.

This is brilliant! I mean. Well. The danger to everyone isn't good, mind you, but - right. None of it is really good, but it is thrilling. Oh, I have so many questions.
Are you alright, Martin? Keeping warm? Safe? Need anything yourself?
no subject
[why didn't he chide him for thinking it was brilliant? it really wasn't. but ... but ... oh, but it was thrilling. it was the same thing that had made him want to poke around Krajna Bostiev. the fact that someone told them to stay put made it almost inevitable that he wouldn't. he hadn't quite felt himself when he'd made that decision, and yet he hadn't regretted a moment of it. it was odd. it was all very odd, and getting odder by the day.]

[John is sweating a bit, but doesn't look dreadfully worse for the wear. He ducks under an outcropping of sandstone-like rock, and takes a breath.]
Lot of sand, more than I've ever seen. You sure you don't need anything? I can bring bits of whatever I can find about these robots to you, or samples from these planets? Can try, anyway.
no subject
Hm. I don't need anything, but a friend of mine is an engineer. He might find some merit in a thing or two if you can get them safely.
