I recognize large portions of this from my memories. Be careful, but these... aggressors are nowhere near as dangerous as they may first appear.

If anyone needs help getting back to a safer location like your apartment, I'm here.

Bail didn't often experience intense feelings. But waking up to his daughter being gone, his cellphone not working so that he could even call his ex-wife, and then discovering no one on his block was home either...

And of course the killer droids and the feeling that they all felt so familiar. The latter being disconcerting all on its own.

But now just didn't feel like the time to really examine why he felt some connection to the droids. Or why he knew to call them droids rather than robots or androids.

He didn't have long to wait to stew in these intense feelings after telling Ben he needed him.

He opened the door swiftly to let him.

"Okay, I'm following your lead on this because you seem to understand the most. Also, hello, I'm very glad to see you and that you came for me. I've just never faced death before, so my thoughts are a little disconnected."

He takes Bail's demeanor and words in and, immediately, puts a hand behind Bail's neck and pushes up on his toes so he can kiss the taller man firmly.

"Okay, first things first. Those things have weapons that can kill you, but you're not really facing death now. I promise, you have a thousand times the brain power and mobility they do. You're okay."

That kiss grounded Bail, and when he pulled back, he could breathe a bit better.

"Alright, what do we do?"

"We start with deciding what we need to do. Do you want to stay here or try to get to another location with more company?"

One thing at a time and that really was figuring out, first, what Bail needed.

Bail didn't have to think about it long at all. "Location with more company."

Maybe a strength in numbers thing, but there was no way around it, Bail didn't really have the skills to go it alone even if the droids were easy to outsmart. He may have fired a few rifles in his life, but at nothing more than a standing target in a range.

"Okay." He leans in and kisses Bail, quickly. "Then let's get you to the Bureau. That's the safest location I can think of." Maybe Bail could put his psychology experience to use to help other people.
