poor decisions this way come

[posted to the network late-late-night/in the wee hours of the morning, during that ungodly gray graveyard time stalked by gamers, drunks, lurking demons, and insomniacs. Obviously, of course to anyone who has ever talked to him, Mr. Fell is not of the first category. At least not of the "technological" sort of game. Maybe a hand of poker or two.]

I think, given how we are all caught up in the abrupt and fantastical nature of the situation we find outselves in--in the research and the understanding and the revelations--I believe, at least, that we should perhaps pause to reflect that:

Regardless of what these visions may mean, or may entail,--regardless of what they may emply (and if they are even at ALL credible)--right now they need no bearing on our lives. Well, that isn't to say we cannot take comfort in knowing there are others experiencing the same phenomna phenomina experie THING, but our pasts are not our present, even if they
have hitherto been unknown to us. Pasts may shape us, of course, yes may help inform our character and way of life, but they do not define us. No, we are beings of the present, adaptive and ever-evolving! And however fascinating these other existences may be, they do not need to overwhelm us.

We should focus on understanding the now, and better understanding our position in all this Stuff. I think.
