I mean sure, yeah. What's the one... Longcat is long? Oh, or wait, the poptart cat! I remember that one!

Ugh, don't say it like that. That's not THAT old, is it?

Tartar Sauce? Oh no, is that longcat? Or, uh, was?

Kinda sorta not really? High school wasn't that long ago for me.

Oh. Sorry, I'm really not good at this stuff. I remember that one though!

Giving me the benefit of the doubt, huh? I'll take it, thanks.

And yeah, I'm awful at celebrities, or stuff like that. I have enough problems with my professors half the time, and I SEE them on a regular basis.

Not all the time, no. Not even most of the time. Been there, done that, couldn't afford the stamp on the postcard.

College is kinda strange at first? You don't have as many classes, but you're in them for longer, and nobody's really taking attendance because you're paying to be there whether you're actually THERE or not. The homework's hell, too, depending on things. But mostly, nobody's holding your hand - whether you make it or not really depends on you.

[...Lisa squints at the screen for a second. Does she sound a little too much like a self-help manual or something? Well, whatever.]

It's up to you, really. If you wanna do something specialized, you might miss it, but you can always come back to it later, if you really need to. I'm still kinda trying not to think about work, but I'm right with you on the hassle thing.

Of course, now I have a memory of someone else in my head, which is ALSO a hassle. And not really helping my existing hassles.

works here!

Yep! The one nice thing about universities being a paid thing, is that they don't usually turn away money.

Well... who's to say it's choosing at all? It might be random. Or it might even be linked to something else. We still don't know enough, and that's still the biggest problem, I think.

I'm not sure that's even good to joke about. Somebody's going to get punched in the face if they try that. I'll even help. So no, let's assume that's off the table. It's random, but there are still factors. Range, scale, epicenter... We could probably figure that kinda stuff out if we wanted to.

Hey, don't say that. There's always somebody, even if it's small. Who am I going to get my cat memes from if you disappeared?

I think
[She doesn't add anything for a long moment. Then:] they'll tell us the truth if we ask and it benefits them somehow. That probably won't come up much, but it's worth keeping in mind. I don't know how they've been out of view this long, but eventually there'll be too many of us to keep covered up, right?

I don't, no. If you'd rather keep it that way, that's fair.

The Bureau's already made sure we sound crazy, with the whole memory wipe thing. We're the only ones that remember that something happened in the first place. But if there are thousands, or tens of thousands of us, eventually that's too many. Unless they

[She cuts off for several seconds.]

Maybe I shouldn't give them ideas if this is monitored, which it probably is.

I did, when I went to my first meeting. I might have had a little bit of a meltdown, but I definitely talked to him. Sorry, I'm not really used to this kind of thing. I'm trying, though.

Still really missing that like button over here. Or retweet. Or reblog... Man, would it kill someone to make this a decent social network if they're going to offer it to us and possibly spy on it?

Anyway. I hope things calm down for you, at least a little bit.
