Okay, so, based on the following information:
NYC spends $17,500 per child per year on public education.
There are 203 days in the current NYC public school year
There are 7 school hours in a day.
$17,500 / 203 / 7 = ~$12.32/hr
If you took the whole subject hour to make the meme, you cost taxpayers a total of $12.32. Less than the cost of a matinee movie ticket.
