[somewhat accidental, an upshot as he's holding the device loose in his hand. He is staring at the "toll booth" in front of the portal. Suitcase beside him as if he'd only just arrived. Looking a little healthier saved for the usual hollow eyed look of someone who believes sleep is a four letter word.]
Fuck me.
Fuck me. Fuck me.
[he hasn't gone through it yet, but then he can't seem to move from the spot. He sucks in a shaky breath and runs a hand through his hair]
Bloody hell.

Bloody hell.

I'd like that car. Sometimes it feels like it I just snapped my fingers I could actually get that car.
[ A glance at Alec. ]
You think there are car summoning super powers?
no subject
I'd say don't be ridiculous but who the hell knows. Anyway, I wouldn't tempt it. Where the hell would you park it. Think of the insurance premiums too. You'd be able to afford the flat or the car but not both.

I'd need unlimited funds, a bigger place... one of those penthouses with a built in garage or something. Maybe in SoHo.
[ The name suddenly came to mind as easily as if it had always been there. ]
It's an artsy district. I'm sure Fell would love it.

You're good together.
I could see him there. Frankly I'm surprised he isn't installed already.

[ Which he didn't feel the slightest bit of regret in admitting even if it might shock the hair tugger. ]
I'm not sure is a memory or a feeling. I'm restless, bored. I feel like... this whole place I'm living in is a bit small for me.
You ever get like that?
no subject
No. The world is too big for me. I feel like I'm a stone in a stream and sometimes, if I'm lucky, I can shift a bit to slightly change the course of the water, but ultimately it won't matter. It will go around me and over me and I'll still just be a stone in a stream.

I'll move you to my garden. At least I can help you keep your feet dry.
no subject
[soon he'd be in the garden in more ways than one. In the end it didn't matter if he was a stone that stood in the way of a stream or one that just sat among a million others. Soon all there would be was a stone, though he'd never gone in for that kind of sentiment.
The dead boy's body once more flickered into his mind and he shuddered a bit, feeling a cold chill]
Should get back to the flat-- [and the nothing. The endless days of boredom] Do you think the garden of yours needs a volunteer to weed or anything? [and hopefully not get heat stroke]
no subject
You serious?
Actually, if you are... I nearly hired a kid to help around the place mostly with the trees but there are tons of weeds that could use seeing to. Had to turn him down but, you could drop by, pick up a trowel now and then. You get to wear a cool green volunteer shirt.
no subject
Is the shirt compulsory?

We can negotiate.
Look, why run off? We can order a pizza, watch something stupid on TV... Godzilla is on the after midnight horror show.
no subject
Mmf. It's a bit late for that isn't it? [but he didn't want to leave. Not really]
Fine. But if you get nightmares I'm kicking you out of bed.
no subject
[ He paused to think of something that might fit the bill. ]
... like a kraken.
[ And hopefully there wouldn't be any nightmares. Things had been fairly quiet on that front for a while. Maybe he was in the clear. ]
And I don't think its ever too late for pizza. It's like taco bell, any time of night food.

[ Anyway with the order plugged into his phone he reached out to snag the TV remote, flipping it to the late night horror movie or at least the channel that would be playing it once the news ended. ]

[ For his part he snuggled back into the pillows to use them like a headrest. ]

I'm never going swimming with you around.

[ He squirmed, trying to wiggled free but was overtaken by a fit of the giggles. ]
You bastard!!
[ Laughter which was interlaced with curses, of course. ]

Yes!, Yes, damnit!

Just remember I have a heart condition. [try to get vengeance now]
no subject
Bastard...
[ Now all he could do was sulk and grumble in his general direction. ]
That's cheating, that is.
