It's enough to make me want to go on down to TX again to avoid this

I don't even know who she is, but I can tell from the way the memory went

He sticks his lower lip out in a slight pout and reaches out to smack his shoulder lightly.

"It's just, what? No holding back in the confession session."

He can't blame him by being hit hard by a rough memory as one of his first ones. Wei Wuxian's firsts have all been...terrible. So obviously he is sympathetic to the man's problem.

"It's just not fair," he says with a shrug. "I shouldn't be thrown into the deep end of being in love with someone like that without knowing the part about how we met and fell in love and stuff."

"Agreed, that isn't fair. But honestly..to just know you were in love at some point must feel nice. Complicated...but nice." He's never known what it felt like to be in love in any part.

[howkickassiam]

"Yeah..." He sighs and shoves a hand through his hair. "I did get the sense it was complicated."

[chenqing_player]

He laughs a little, "Is there a relationship that isn't?" Time to let his imagination run a little wild.

"Hm..maybe you were secret lovers. She was married but couldn't leave her husband despite the passionate love you shared. Or you lived during a time when different classes weren't permitted to be together. Ah! maybe it's the classic Romeo and Juliet scenario."

He smiles.

"Star-crossed lovers, huh?" He reaches for the bag of bagels and starts to unroll the flap where it's been folded down. "I have to admit it, though, I never read that story."

"You didn't miss anything. You pretty much know the story even if you haven't read it."

But now he is curious to what York's story might be. "Whatever way your story turns, has to be better then theirs."

He pulls out a bagel and sets the bag down.

"You think so? I get this feeling something was tragic about it. Something about how I hadn't been able to find her in years."

"Hmm..So a story that involves a kidnapping or a runaway perhaps. Still a tragedy but I different style of one." Wei Wuxian takes the bag of bagels and opens it, peering inside to decide on which one he would like to have. Since he bought so many varieties it is a hard decision so he simply grabs one at random to try.

He closes the bag back up, "If you ever figure out the ending to this story, you better fill me in."

"You can count on that," he says. "I'll probably need you to play therapist again when I find out."

He laughs and relaxes back against the chair, "I'm not sure I'm all that great at playing therapist. I do at least know how to listen so I guess that is their main job."

He pulls off a piece of the bagel and sticks it in his mouth.

York shrugs. "You calmed me down, didn't you?"

[chenqing_player]

"The offer of bagels is clearly what did all the work." He smiles though, glad he could be at least a little helpful. "You are welcome to kick me out of your house at any time since service has been rendered."

"What, are you kidding?" he says. "And be all alone?"

[chenqing_player]

He is pleased he isn't going to just be sent off and its obvious as he sticks another piece of bagel in his mouth.

"Then I'll just make myself at home." He doesn't want to wear out his welcome knowing that some people prefer to be alone after they have one of these memories. He is the opposite. He'd rather have someone to talk it out with.

"Go ahead," York says. "You want some OJ?"

He rises to get himself a glass, regardless of whether Xian wants any.

[chenqing_player]

"Nah, I'm good. I'm not usually awake for breakfast so I don't have much of a taste for typical breakfast type drinks." Unless they are mixed with alcohol. But overall he isn't a big juice drinker.

"But I might consider a water."

[howkickassiam]

"Sure."

He gets the two glasses out and fills them, then puts the glass of cold, filtered water in front of Xian before sitting back down.

"Love a nice blueberry bagel with some OJ." He splits it, finds the cream cheese in the bag, and uses the knife provided to begin spreading it. "I'll have to get some sleep before the soiree though."

"Expecting to really party it up?" Wei Wuxian certainly isn't going to turn down going to a party. But he is used to all-nighters so not having sleep being heading to the soiree isn't going to bother him.
