[Is that a new username you see on the network? By golly it is!]
Well, this is quite an interesting situation we've found ourselves in, isn't it?
I'm still not certain quite what to make of this whole business, but I thought I should introduce myself. My name is Emberto Alegre, and as I recently discovered, I'm now one of the 'Different'. Or perhaps I always was; the 'Martin' fellow who spoke to me about it wasn't exactly clear on that point
...On a side note, 'Different' is a very dull sounding name for a group connected by such fantastical circumstances, don't you think? One would think that a group whose job it is to deal with such things would be able to come up with something better than that. But then I suppose government agencies aren't exactly known for their creativity.
In any case, I look forward to getting to know you all. Beyond that, I suppose we'll just have to see where this unusual ride takes us.

Magical powers? Ooh, that does sound exciting! But I'm afraid I didn't see anything quite so remarkable. I was simply talking to four other people; two young men, a young lady, and a little girl. Apparently I wanted to join them on some sort of heroic quest, and one of the young men wasn't especially pleased about it. The place we were in was quite remarkable though; it was like something straight out of Arabian Nights! Frankly, I'm curious to hear the rest of the conversation.
As for the Bureau... I'm not sure quite what to think about them. Something certainly happened, and I don't know of any way that such a thing could be induced by someone else, so until I have some proof otherwise, I'm not inclined to think that it was something they caused or controlled. But... I also know that shady government agencies generally have reasons for being so, so I'm not inclined to be especially trusting either.
Other than that... I suppose we'll see. I like to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but Mr. Martin seemed intent on straining it.

True, he could have been a bit more polite, but he's hardly the rudest person I've ever had to deal with, let me tell you.

but you've only just met him. give him time.]Well, I am glad to see his manners are improving, then.
In any case, hello and welcome.
Re: text
You obviously haven't met a lot of theater critics.]Hello yourself, and thank you. Who might you be?
Re: text
might have, actually, with all his interest in theater. he just hasn't really been on the receiving end of the critique.]Most people call me Mr. Fell.
Re: text
Heh, that's probably true.]Good to meet you then, Mr. Fell. Tell me, do you happen to be a fan of the theater?

Why do you ask?
Re: text
Oh, that's wonderful to hear! I felt the same way the first time I saw a Broadway show! It awakened a lifelong passion for for theater and the arts, and in fact, changed the course of my whole life.
Which ties into the reason why I asked, namely a teeny bit of self promotion. I happen to run a little theater called the 'Brava' over on the West Side. While it's a bit late to get tickets for our latest show- which closes this Sunday- I'd love to have such an enthusiastic fan in the audience for our next one.

No, Alec wasn't a friend. He wasn't even a child. He was just some pet dog. A stray. Someone that was attached to Anthony.Someone to keep healthy because otherwise Anthony would be upset. Someone to train to behave.
He wanted to tell Fell this. To snarl it at him. But what good would that to? The man would fluster and feel terrible and would either keep on regardless or would pull back-- Either way he'd be upset and then Anthony would be pissed off at him for having upset the man.
It really was like his mum.
Can't you see you're upsetting Rufus? Why can't you be more supportive?!
So fine. Fine. Next time he would just lock his bloody reply. Wouldn't even bother to reply to this one so he wouldn't ruffle any feathers Fell had soothed. In fact if he could avoid Fell altogether all the better. He didn't think it would work, but he was going to make an attempt.
