[There are dark circles under his eyes as he turns on the phone, looking like he is ready to punch something.]

Okay...so...I know we are all kind of getting used to the fact that we have these powers. And I admit I was kind of hoping I would be left out of getting too many of them.

[He sighs and pokes at a stuffed animal that has decided to jump up on the bed beside him. Yes...that teddy bear is moving by itself.]

Well...is there anyone out there that isn't afraid of ghosts and might be willing to be a chaperone while I make sure I don't summon a 100 foot marshmallow man?

[That teddy bear suddenly smacks the phone out of his hand and there is a black out for a moment and a small scuffle while he tosses the bear off the bed and reaches down to get the phone. His face comes back into view.]

Yeah, I'm definitely going to need some help before my whole apartment gets overrun by angry stuffed animals. So if there are any takers...let me know.

Apparently someone sacrificed themselves so that he could come back and take revenge on people for him.

It was some kind of dark ritual?

Yeah...apparently all of these powers with the dead is something called demonic cultivation. he created the spell and wrote it down and someone found it and used it to bring him back. But this kind of stuff wasn't exactly smiled upon whenever he lived.

Messing around with demonic powers never is welcomed... Unless you are running in the right circles.

Who was he supposed to be getting revenge against anyway?

That part of the memory is kind of patchy...a couple family members and then someone else. Maybe still family but not one he lived with. He didn't seem to have a very good life.

The important details always are.

[ Crowley tried not to seem upset over the whole revenge on family thing but... having a decent sort of family here he found it difficult to imagine hurting them. ]

Do you remember anything about his family?

[ Beyond the sister. Anthony did recall there was a sister involved in this. ]

I remember parts. The me in the past had a brother and sister...but we weren't blood related. I guess he was kind of adopted into their family. Guess we had the whole orphan thing in common.

[As well as looks...name...and a few others things that make him oddly uncomfortable.]

As for the guy who sacrificed himself to bring him back...his family was cruel and treated him like an outcast. But it seems like both families were related in a way. There was some seriously messed up family dynamics.

Must have been for some one to want to take revenge on them... And for your other self to be ok with that.

Some kind of Orphan Annie, bad orphanage sort of thing?

The other me wasn't exactly okay with it. But didn't have much of a choice in the matter. Something about how the spell was created. But...he ended up not being the one who actually killed them. They still ended up dead but by something else so it was enough to satisfy the curse.

Sounds like we need to work out some sort of anti-summoning to keep that from happening to you again.

Yeah...that would be good. Think you know of anything like that?

I don't think I got my previous life's intelligence when it came to creating things...

Other than not dying. I don't think anyone can make you do anything so long as you remain human.

Well I would have thought the not dying thing would be easy. But the more powers I get, the more unsure of that I become.

I can see why. Have you ever actually been hurt by these powers?

Not yet...well...subtract the fact that the bear was definitely aiming for my head with some of the stuff it was throwing.

But I've seen the one in my memories have trouble controlling them and it's like he loses himself for a moment. I want to avoid that.

[ Nod, bear subtracted. ]

It might help if you can remember why he lost himself.

There was one conversation he had...someone warned him that playing with resentful energy will change his heart and who he is. So it's like he had moments where the energy he was trying to use was getting the better of him.

Power corrupts. I should have thought about that before. Maybe I ought to encourage that but...

[ Anthony took on a deep thoughtful frown. ]

Maybe you shouldn't try to use your magic anymore.

Yeah...maybe you are right. At least the ones I can avoid using.

It's just a precaution... Maybe nothing will come of it.

I just wonder how many more of these powers are going to come back to me. Am I really going to get everything that he had?

There's no way to tell. I don't know that anyone remembers everything... And it's not like the Bureau would tell us if they knew.

It would be nice if they were more forthcoming...but I imagine they don't really know the answer either.

I think they know more than they will say, but screw them. Take care of yourself?
