video, morning;
[There certainly aren't many video posts on the network, not that Lisa could find. But it'd be kinda hard to express her present concern otherwise, so here she is, a moving picture complete with worried, slightly stressed drawl, and hair a bit less elegant than her usual composed look. Almost like she keeps-]
Hey. Lisa here. Uh, I know it's kinda sudden, but- has anyone gotten things back? Not just memories, but stuff? When I woke up this morning, there was somethin' on my bedside table. Lock was still set on the door and the window, so I don' think anybody got in, but then-
[-brushing her hair back to one side, showing off (or looking at) a little pink earring, shiny like enamel or something; it looks like a cartoonish rabbit with a shocked expression, blank eyes and mouth open wide, and hanging upside down. Compared to the understated gold she's been wearing in public until now this is fairly different to her norm. After a second, she lets her hair fall back to her side, a flash of pink from the other side of her head proving it's a paired set.]
-these were there. They're cute, I like 'em, but they're not really... me? I think they're hers and I don't know how to feel about that.
[A beat. Then, belatedly:] Oh, and I got a memory too, but I'm not so worried about that. That's fine. Other me knows her way around a bass, and her friends can shred. I'll decide if that's a big cosmic joke later when I'm a little less shaken up.
Uh. I hope everyone's okay. I know it's apparently been a rough day or two on the network. I'll be okay - if anyone needs someone to talk to, I'm here for you.
[Lisa takes a deep breath, before seeming to relax a little, smiling and giving a little wave as the camera feed ends.]

[Her smile quirks when he explains himself.]
You get the fun cats. Both of you. That must have been wild, huh?
no subject
Yeah. I mean, wasn't great seeing the memory cat almost die, but she got better. [Cheddar flopped in his lap, putting his belly up for pets.] This guy probably hasn't had to deal with anything quite so traumatic as that. No reason for him to start projecting words into my brain.

I mean, we still don't know why they chose to mess with us or why we're the ones stuck with these memories and stuff. If it were just a matter of reincarnation or what have you, wouldn't it be more widespread than just the few dozen I've noticed at the meetings? Are there really so few of us? Or are there really only a handful of us, and some of the others there are plants by the Bureau sent to spy on us even closer than they already are?
[He scoffs at his own ridiculous musings.] Sorry, it's just so... frustrating still, you know?
no subject
It is frustrating. I don't know how to fix it, but we're not gonna get anywhere trying to handle it by ourselves. To hell with that.

[He drags Cheddar from his lap up to his chest and the cat flops over his shoulder like a floppy sack of potatoes. His purring is loud and unending.]
I'm still not sure how involved I want to be with the whole figuring stuff out nonsense. It may not even be real.

[Lisa takes another breath. She's getting back to good, but it's slow, and all of this everything isn't helping.]
I get where you're coming from, but... I'm gonna go crazy if I don't try to figure it out. I guess that means I'm assuming it is real. Because if it is, and the other Lisa in my head needs me - needs us - for something, or we got picked on purpose, I'd feel responsible if I didn't do something. [She smiles, somewhere between silly and soft.] All of the mes out there needs to stick together, yeah? And if this or any other yous want in, let us know.
[She's distantly aware that what she's just said sounds absolutely insane. She's also pretty sure she doesn't care anymore.]
no subject
Hmm...
[It's a unique way to see it, and he doesn't think it's a bad way to go about stuff. But it depends on who the other You happens to be out there.]
I doubt the other Me really needs me. He seems...
[But he stops. He can't tell her what he's seen, not yet. It's not something he knows how to feel about. So he shrugs.]
I guess I just don't know enough yet to make that call.
no subject
I know, it's kinda weird. But maybe your other doesn't actively need you for anything, and he's just getting ready in case something happens. Or hey, maybe I have it backwards and our other selves are trying to help us? I wouldn't know the first thing about how to send not-me memories, so maybe they just need practice.
[...she's hoping her eagerness comes across as trying to be reassuring, instead of just rambling more. At this rate Clarence and Elliott will be able to compete over who gets her to babble the longest.]
no subject
Tch. I doubt my other self is that helpful. But I mean, I could be wrong...
[Guess he can't put aside the idea that maybe, maybe his other self killed the guy for a reason other than selfishness. Can't imagine it, though.]
If I can keep the other me from finding me, I think I'd prefer it. He can keep all his memories, for all I care.
no subject
...or, well. I don't know why I'm giving you orders. You don't need me to tell you to do what you were probably gonna do anyway.
no subject
Eh, don't worry about it. I can tell you're not trying to control me or anything. That means a lot, actually.
no subject
Good, that means I'm doing it right. I feel like I'm not used to stuff going my way here lately, so I'll take it.
no subject
... Do you feel better? You were a little freaked out before, but you seem calmer now.
no subject
But it dims as she considers his question.] I'm... a little calmer, now. Not perfect, but I can function like this. I'm still freaking out inside, but I can deal. I think. [Spoilers: she can't deal. This will become apparent sooner rather than later.] Um, thank you for worrying about me, though. It means a lot. I know we don't really know each other that well.
no subject
Well... you were nice before. Trying to be supportive. Figured I could return the favor. And you're not too bad, for an adult.
no subject
Ahaha... Well, I can't have screwed up entirely, then. I'm glad. We've gotta stick together, yeah?
no subject
I'll see you around. Try to take it easy today, though.
