As I’m sure you are all aware upon waking up this morning, our world has separated from the other universe with the invading army of androids. Our staff was working tirelessly from the start of the incident, and last night we found the key to breaking free.

But it is with great sorrow I must announcing that despite our efforts, they were not quick enough to prevent the deaths of a number of the Different. Below is a list of the known Different who were killed the last ten days.

[A list of names of the Different who were killed, this list includes about ten names, and among those names are Bitterblue Monsea and Jim Hopper.]

To any of those who knew these individuals, I express my deepest condolences.

What caused all of this?

Our universe merged with another, from which an invading army of robots overtook New York City. We were able to untangle and reverse the convergence, but not soon enough.

Was it a world one of the Different is having memories of? Are some of us connected?

Oh, of course, you're welcome, Ms. Wright. I wouldn't dream of leaving you all in the dark, without answers on this.

The world was indeed one that seems to be involved with members of the Different, as we know them. And there are some Different who are connected. Being connected to another world seems to increase the risk of that world interfering with ours.

God, this is ... [she's trying not to lose it in front of someone of authority. why is that bothering her so much? why the hell does it suddenly matter? she thinks suddenly of the feeling of a badge in her handm and of course it makes sense, then.]

That is absolute bullshit. Your condolences mean nothing. People dying is not something you just get to say 'sorry' for, especially since all of this is your fault to begin with.

Your anger is understandable. It's your right to feel this way. Unfortunately, all I can say is that we are endeavoring to avoid these sorts of situations having these results in the future.

I do understand your desire for more concrete information. But I must apologize, I am not at liberty to discuss the Bureau's resources and counter-interdimensional measures.

So we're just supposed to trust you blindly. Is that it? Considering how much we've gone through I think we're entitled to some information.

I'm beginning to think you are either hiding something or are just as bloody clueless as we are.

[but he assumes the former. Never trust anyone.]

We well understand at the Bureau that trust is earned, and is not an entitlement. It is unfortunate to learn that this incident has instilled distrust against us in the future. But as it stands, the Bureau is currently the only organization with the know-how and resources to address these interdimensional disturbances, most of which even the Different are not aware.

However, as I said before, it is your right that you, and all the other Different, as well, feel the way that you do about us.

What can I do?

The most important instruction I could give you would be to listen to the Bureau's advice when events occur. Stay inside, stay away from portals, and let the Bureau's people take care of the situation.

The Different are also free to seek employment in the Bureau should they wish to help further.
