Greetings, I'm professor Lan. Wangji Lan. I teach history and ancient civilizations of our world's past. I'm a recent graduate, so I'm looking for students to teach.

If you're new, I propose a field trip for a study. There is a portal near the Bureau Building, in Collect Pond Park, so if you want to visit, I can take you there as a guide and teacher to study that world over the portal if you're interested.

The trip will take a few days, starting from Wednesday to Friday, 16 to 18 this week. I begin in the late morning from 10am, then there will be a lunch, to late afternoon for 4pm or even earlier depending on the lesson, and after that we go home.

The world's name is Krajina Božstiev or translation, "Land of the Deities". I propose a study of the world's civilization and it's people for a few days. If you need to bring anything, I suggest bringing a notebook or laptop for the lesson.

Good morning, professor John.

I think there is nobody else for today to come and join, so I'll go up ahead and meet up with you. I think if it's only the both of us just for today, then our journey will be just us. Give me half an hour, I need to catch the bus. Be sure to come prepared, I think we'll explore for today and we'll go home by the end of the evening.

[huff huff he walks briskley catches the bus, and he's at the bureau in half an hour with his backpack, and wearing for the expedition. He gives a friendly wave as he cross the street to meet up with him at the bureau building]

Here are we. Are we set to go?

[John had been waiting with a backpack near the steps, and only for about ten minutes, when he spots Professor Lan crossing the street. He smiles cheerily and raises a hand in greeting.]

I'm as ready as I'll ever be!

[He was practically vibrating; his curiosity was bound to get the better of him, and there was just something...oddly familiar, about setting foot through a door into the unknown. Something wonderful, as if he'd done it many times before, but it had never lost its charm.]

Strange, though. It almost feels like I've...done this sort of thing before. Which is mad; the furthest I've travelled is from England to New York...

Perhaps deja vu if you had done this before? I had been to England once for a vacation. It's a lovely place. It's been a while though.

[With a nod, he takes the lead and cheerfully leads him down the block to where the park is, where's there a tollbooth]

Just follow me. We just need to check in with the bureau agent at the tollbooth, and then we simply step through the portal.

[Once they did that, and confirm with the bureau agent behind the tollbooth]

All right, ready? It's like a door. [The portal was a size of a large doorway] We will count to three, and we will step through.

1...2...3...[And just like that, he step through the shimmering light of the portal and he finds him on the other side, waiting for John to follow right after him]

Well, possibly, but...no. No, I don't think that's it. It's not the travelling to a new place that's the familiar part. It's the...this anticipation. Right here. [He pats an area just below his ribs.] Of setting foot on a new world that I've never seen before. It shouldn't feel familiar, but it does, and I'm not sure why. Could be to do with whoever I was or am on The Other Side, I suppose.

[The distracted look fades from John's expression, and he smiles, shuffling his backpack onto his shoulders.]

Right, enough of that. I'm right behind you.

[He followed behind Lan and took note of the process - the tollbooth, the door, and everything necessary - just in case he wanted to come back here on his own. And then, on the count of three, he took a breath and stepped forward.]

[He waits for John to join him on the other side. Everywhere there's nature. No city. Just a medieval kingdom ahead]

Sounds like deja vu to me. I started having memories of my past life, so every time I look at artifacts from the ancient past, I get a similar sense also.

[Once he stepped over through the tollbooth]

Looks like you made it, Professor John. Nothing to it. Are you all right?
