This week, it's kinda more of an ice cream week, isn't it?

I have already given up. Once I did, it's no longer a sherbet and it turns back. Hopefully, the bureau will fix this.

In the meanwhile, besides lemons, I tried something else. I found I rather like Neopolitan.

I was trying to decide on a flavor I like best, but then I was reminded of others I also like and...

I do very much enjoy that old standby vanilla. A good rich vanilla can go with most anything, but especially decadent toppings, like caramel and dark chocolate.

I mean, I DO like pistachio, and strawberry, and all kinds of other flavors, though sometimes the candy-based ones can be a bit much (one doesn't really NEED bubblegum flavored ice cream, do they? WITH bubblegum balls in it?
Much as the novelty sounds, well, novel -- It IS awfully cute to look at.
And very clever. And I love when they make it blue or rainbow or something fun!).

Oh, I could almost go for spumoni right now. I think it's your fault for mentioning neopolitan.

There's bubblegum flavored ice cream? I do remember those bubblegum fruit ice types. The type where bubblegum is used as a character's eyes and nose. Very chewy.

What's a spumoni? I never heard of it.

That sounds a tad morbid.

Spumoni is a gelato. It's fairly popular around Little Italy. Sort of a precursor to neapolitan, only with pistachio, cherry, and chocolate or vanilla, and some candied fruit and nut bits thrown in.

Actually, an advertisement here informs me we've just missed National Spumoni Day, whatever that means. Oh, I could have had 30% off my gelato, alas.

Ah, I see. Sound like a very sweet dessert, but gelato. I shall try it. When I do, I shall thank you.
