Video (backdated to the 10th because I'm fail orz)
[Emberto can be seen kicking back on a couch in what's presumably his residence, a cup of tea on an end table beside him.]
You know, now that things have settled down a bit, and it seems that our ability to travel to the other world is here to stay, there's something that I've been wondering about that other world for awhile now. Something that shouldn't be, but that undeniably is.
Namely, the fact every word we've encountered in this other universe, both spoken and written, has been in modern English. In fact, for those of us who were drawn to that temple in the hills, that word puzzle we had to solve wouldn't have worked in any other language. Now I don't know about any of you, darlings, but as someone who's done a bit of traveling the old fashioned way, I can tell you that the odds of an entire other universe just happening to come up with a language that's identical to modern English in every way by pure coincidence are too ridiculous to seriously think about.
So the question is... how exactly did this happen? I'd very much like to know if anyone else who's noticed it has any theories, because I'm afraid this particular mystery has gotten me stumped.

Is also fail, so I feel you
But now that you mention it, it is rather puzzling, and indeed a bit alarming. Have they had contact before and adopted our language, or did the world adapt to suit our understanding? I wonder if anyone tried to speak another language to them--say, Spanish, or French--would they understand?
And of all languages, why English? It's such a collection of other languages and parts. Why not...Arabic or ancient Chinese? S
