Sorry. I didn't think you'd appreciate lying.

Giving me the benefit of the doubt, huh? I'll take it, thanks.

And yeah, I'm awful at celebrities, or stuff like that. I have enough problems with my professors half the time, and I SEE them on a regular basis.

Not all the time, no. Not even most of the time. Been there, done that, couldn't afford the stamp on the postcard.

College is kinda strange at first? You don't have as many classes, but you're in them for longer, and nobody's really taking attendance because you're paying to be there whether you're actually THERE or not. The homework's hell, too, depending on things. But mostly, nobody's holding your hand - whether you make it or not really depends on you.

[...Lisa squints at the screen for a second. Does she sound a little too much like a self-help manual or something? Well, whatever.]

Haven't gotten one yet since moving to NYC. Left mine on the West Coast.
missingache: ([57] But now we're stressed out)

I will. Though idk if any of them are Different, but maybe I'll get lucky.

It's up to you, really. If you wanna do something specialized, you might miss it, but you can always come back to it later, if you really need to. I'm still kinda trying not to think about work, but I'm right with you on the hassle thing.

Of course, now I have a memory of someone else in my head, which is ALSO a hassle. And not really helping my existing hassles.

works here!

[personal profile] traceofeffort 2020-03-08 07:57 pm (UTC)(link)
Yep! The one nice thing about universities being a paid thing, is that they don't usually turn away money.

Well... who's to say it's choosing at all? It might be random. Or it might even be linked to something else. We still don't know enough, and that's still the biggest problem, I think.

I think she'd mind, actually. Probably don't do that. If you do it for fun though, I want to see.

It's better than being called freaks or unwanted. Different is pretty tame.
howkickassiam: (But this is what I say)

[personal profile] howkickassiam 2020-03-10 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
Thanks, I was honestly too lazy to find the generator for that.

I'm not sure that's even good to joke about. Somebody's going to get punched in the face if they try that. I'll even help. So no, let's assume that's off the table. It's random, but there are still factors. Range, scale, epicenter... We could probably figure that kinda stuff out if we wanted to.

That was my general life philosophy when I was in school, so I get it. As long as you graduate, who cares, right?
