Announcement from the Bureau

[Mr. Martin appears on the screen and though it seems impossible to those who have interacted with the man before, but he looks grumpier than ever before.]

I'm sure all of you noticed the flash of light that hit New York City a half hour ago. Rest assured the light should have no ill-effects on you whatsoever.

[His frown deepens as he continues.]

After a preliminary investigation, the Bureau discovered a number of portals bridging our universe with that of another universe. We cannot stress this enough but we caution you to avoid these portals. It should go without saying that another universe is unpredictable and likely to be unstable in some way. We cannot vouch for the safety of these portals or for how long they will remain open. It would be terrible if one of you should become trapped on the other side.

As of right now, it seems nothing from the other universe is crossing over to our side. But we cannot guarantee it will remain that way forever. We are working on a solution to the problem.

Do not make this more difficult for the Bureau! [That last part is gruffer than he usually sounds.]

You should have a drink, a hot shower and - do you know how to meditate? This might be a good time to learn.

If nothing else, you should have a nice cup of chamomile tea, and put on some nice classical music. Something calming, like Holst's "The Planets". I can suggest the Venus or the Jupiter suite, though the latter is a bit energetic, but not heavy like Mars or some of the outer planets...
