[The feed clicks on and it's obvious that Wei Wuxian hasn't slept well based on the darkness under his eyes. His hair is a mess and he is clearly not wearing at least a shirt as he just woke up and couldn't even wait to get dressed before wanting to get some closure from what he just saw.]

So..I think I just got my second memory.

[His voice is a little rough, either from the rough night or the emotions of the memory, he isn't sure. He clears his throat and glances back as he hears the movement of sheets on the bed. But the other occupant doesn't seem ready to stir so he continues as he looks back over at the screen.]

It's just as unpleasant as the first..but apparently in my past life I had family. And I get the impression losing them was also my fault.

[He reaches up and rubs his face with his free hand, clearly disturbed by what he saw in his dream. He isn't even in his own apartment right now so he can't find a way to distract himself without finding his clothes and making a quick escape.]

I don't know if I'm strong enough to deal with these kinds of things...has anyone developed or gained a power for wiping memories?

Oh please..go ahead and share. I'm still trying to wrap my brain around my own.

[Anakin grabbed the coffee creamer cups and dropped them in front of him. But with his right hand he start picking them up one at a time to stack. He was slow at it because this was his prosthetic hand.]

I'm still a kid in my memories. I'm a slave, so is my mom. I don't know who my dad is- that's same as in real life [Anakin scoffed] My memories- either I'm getting beaten, my mom is getting beaten, some other slave is or worse. I've stopped counting the number of people I've seen die horrible deaths. The world we live on is a desert planet and it's hotter than Arizona in the summer. We barely have food or water. And no one cares about us.

I know at some point I leave the planet, but right now, this is what I see play over and over in my head.

[He looks at the table as he listens. Are they all destined to relive these terribly lives? It seems cruel..]

That's pretty rough..And in your memory they don't give you a reason why you are slaves? No light at the end of the tunnel showing you escaping or something?

We were born into it...

They place an electronic chip inside our bodies. It contains explosives. Our slave master has the remote. If we try to escape, all he has to do is press a button and we're dead. He could do it at any time, actually.

[Their drinks arrived at point and Anakin was quiet until their server was gone.]

So what do you get?

Ugg..that's beyond cruel. [He takes a sip of his water as he thinks back to his own dream.]

Mine was a battle. Not like the last one which seemed like raid. This one was people from all different groups fighting against each other like in a war. But I wasn't focused on that. There was a women's voice on the battlefield and she was calling for me..Calling my name. And just as I saw her she got a sword through her. Me and another guy ran to her, he caught her in his arms...Apparently they were family..and just as I was going to speak to her she ended up protecting me. Pushing me away as another sword tried to take me out getting her instead. I watched her die..called her sister. And I think all of the fighting was my fault which is why everyone was trying to kill me.

You look like Hell.

[ Which was said softly enough to sound kind. ]

You could wake up...

[ He gestured towards the lump laying next to Wei. ]

Talk it out with your sweetheart.

Hey. We haven't spoken in a while but I know you already had a lot to deal with, with the first memory. I wish I could do something practical to help, but since I can't - if you need to talk or some distraction for a while, let me know. I'll see what I can do.

I feel like it too.

[There is a soft laugh as he glances back at the other body.]

Sweetheart? I'm not sure I even remember his name..let alone trust him enough with the crazy going on in my head.

Thanks..a distraction might be good. I'll take any help I can get.

[He's not sure he is strong enough for all these bad memories if they keep happening.]

[ Anthony's eyebrow arched ever so slyly. ]

Just visiting then.

Want to get out, have a drink or two? Might get your mind off everything.

Yes..definitely need that. You still owe me one anyway!

[He saved Anthony from his mother, now Anthony can save him from his mind.]

Watching someone die is... debilitating.

What makes you think the fighting was your fault?

[He runs a hand through his hair as he tries to remember the details.]

The one who killed her..was aiming for me. Even as I was running through the battlefield it was like there was only one true target..and it was me. I was the one causing these black..smoke things to attack people. Everything was my fault.

[The feeling in the dream had been oppressive..so much painful emotion running through him that at times he could barely breathe.]

If I'm some sort of..villain..what if these memories come back and I hurt people?

[Anakin understood how the emotions from one's second life memories could bleed over into this world. Sometimes he woke up panicked because of what he had seen or experienced in his memories... Not to mention Ben's scars just randomly showing up.]

Okay... I've been thinking a lot about this 'cause my own memories and all. But... Okay? Maybe we are the people in our memories? But we've all also been living a whole other life- right now. That's how many years of another actual, lived experience? That doesn't just go away because we get some other memories of another life.

You've made a million choices to be who you are right now. And you'll continue to make a million more choices to be who you'll become.

You still get to make those choices.

[ This would help even the score nicely. ]

Pick the place?

[He listens silently and nods in understanding as he lets those thoughts roll around in his head. It makes sense and he certainly hopes that those are the facts that will stay with him. He doesn't want to think that remembering these things will change who he is..especially if it changes him into something he doesn't like.]

I hope you are right..I know I can't really make any assumptions considering I've only had two of these. I don't feel any differently..okay that's a lie. I'm slightly more afraid of my mental state and why I have these things. But that's not really the same. If I ever start making some really odd choices..make sure you knock some sense into me with that arm.

[He decides to lighten his own mood a little and a small smile comes to the corners of his lips.]

How many of these rotten memories do you think I have to get through before I get to some really good and saucy ones?

[He sends an address.]

Meet there but uh..give me a few minutes? Kind of have to get cleaned up and find my clothes.

[He does not want to go out looking like he just survived a tornado.]

Yeah, me too. Not that I have a...

[ The lump in the bed was gestured at again. ]

...to deal with. It's been a pretty boring evening for me. But trousers would be better than jim-jams.

If all goes well, I'll be out before he ever wakes up.

[Awkward morning afters are not his thing.]

Go change out of your PJs and I'll be there soon as I can!

Then let's plan something fun for next week. I'm sure it won't be enough but if it gets you out of your head for a little bit, it might be worth it.

[He finally cracks a smile. It's small but it is the first time he has felt like smiling since waking up.

I appreciate it. As long as it doesn't involve swords or fighting..I am down.

No swords or fighting for me, either. [ For lots of reasons. ] We'll grab something to eat and, I don't know, go pet cats and visit and arcade. Light, fun and normal.

[He laughs softly]

Sounds like fun. I especially like the petting cats part.

Then it's a plan.

I look forward to it..thanks again. I know there are people with worse memories out there but it just..it's hard to get used to. So I definitely appreciate the help.
