So I though about how I'm going to celebrate USA's return to manned spaceflight.

I'm going skydiving this weekend. Thought I'd see if anyone here would be interested in going- the company has group jumps.

Thank you for the offer. However, I'll pass. At my age, one tries to avoid falling, and free-falling a fair few thousand miles does not sound like a fun afternoon's jaunt.

But please do take pictures or some such, if you can.

As a matter of fact, I went to the park at lunch!

The ducks. They are always quite charming. There were some children out with their mothers. Some business people on phones. Joggers and cyclists, one of whom nearly ran me off the path. There was the nice man across the street who sells hotdogs and who lives in New Jersey. I saw at least three dogs, one of which was entirely too big to ever fit in a New York apartment.

And a young woman on a skateboard who did what I believe is called a "sick trick."
