This is really embarrassing, but I have seriously sprained my ankle.

I can more or less manage, but I can't quite manage carrying things, opening doors, and crutches, yet. I can eat take-out and delivery forever to avoid it, but I need some help with the cat-food and cat litter that got dumped just outside my door.

[ He got the door unlocked for Bail, then just curled up on the couch. Yes, curled up, ankle brace and all. Crutches were on the floor beside him, so he could move if he needed to. Miserable enough to not want to. ]

[Bail was quick about picking up Ben's perscription and then food for the evening, which included soup and ginger ale. Things he knew were generally gentle on a person's stomach.

He let himself into Ben's apartment. One look at Ben and Bail was sending him a sympathic smile. Ben was easily the most adorable man in pain Bail had ever seen.

He set the bags on the counter and fished out the meds and a can of ginger ale before going to Ben. He opened the can and held it out for Ben, and then, when his hand was free, he opened med bottle for Ben.]

Do you want me to get you a glass of ice for the rest of the ginger ale?

It's much better than just stepped off a curb wrong. I mean in summer you couldn't even say slipping on ice was a problem.

I'm a professional ice skater. Slipping on ice is always an option.

I literally just stepped off weird and my ankle rolled.

He took the can of soda and then fished a painkiller out of the open bottle. He immediately took the painkiller, and shook his head.

"No. I just want you to sit down so I can be pathetic and use you as a pillow."

At least he was communicating well?

And before Ben could protest- well, Ben could protest, but Bail was already moving back towards the kitchen counter. He'd gotten take out (from that soup and salad place they'd first started their relationship). He found a spoon, grabbed the take-out tub, and then returned to the couch.

"Sit up, so I can sit down."
