Has anyone received something dangerous?

He gives Bail a flat, but amused, look. "We rent a lot of skates to people who are born and bred in New York."

"Alright," Bail said. "That is fair- I have my own pair of skates. Just name the time, and I will show up and skate with you. Just don't expect anything fancy from me."

What value do you believe knowing a style of swordmanship brings to people?

Have you made amends for that time?

It's fun? Like a sport.

I'm trying to....an act at a time.

It never feels like enough though.

Do you feel the need to make amends for every act you're ashamed of or do you think you could consider a number of individual acts pieces of a greater whole and make amends towards that greater whole instead?

Sports can be fun.

Do you think your style of swordsmanship could be reintruduced in the monder age with the same precautions fencing has taken?

I've been trying to pay it forward in small ways...mentoring other actors, helping people in need things like that. But it never feels like enough.

It's weird but ever since my Event it feels like there is this weight on me I can't get rid of. And reading the journal recently has made that feeling worse.

What would you do if a weapon arrived?

No idea. Could be fun at like a ren faire or something though.

Figure out whose it really is? But seriously, I'd freak out, because she seems like she's all about music and her bond with her band. Either someone took "battle of the bands" way too seriously, or her future gets crazy down the line, and I admit either of those would be really worrying.

Or Sayo taught her archery at some point, which would justify a longbow, which would concern me a lot less because I think Sayo just shoots on the range.

"Do you want to learn something fancy or just to go fast with me?" Either of those is fine. He just really, really, wants to share his love of skating with someone he cares a lot about.

So you're not concerned about receiving a weapon?

Not really. It's just a cool relic from my past life that I'm having fun relearning.

I understand the concern.

This is what I am wondering, what part of my past life requires the need for a personal weapon?

"I'm learning a lot from you. I need to think of something to teach you."

What about your family?

What about them? We already know no one sneaks in to leave these things.

Are your parents concerned?

Not as such, no. My mom knows I'm not going to start stabbing people out of the blue.

That is comforting to know.

Are you sure it's a personal weapon? Not something that you were training with, maybe? Or a gift?

I am sure. It seems like something I keep with me often.

He returns the kiss, softly and easily and then laughed. "I don't think learning from me means you have to teach me, but I'm learning things too. It's just the nature of relationships, right?"
